At Sense Therapies, our School Term & School Holiday Group Programs are purposefully designed and delivered by our multi-disciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Educator and Speech Pathologist.
Every group is specifically structured to target the functional therapeutic goals of the children attending, ensuring that every session provides the clinical integrity required to support meaningful progress.
Designed, delivered, and led by Clinicians
Our Groups Programs are OT-led and are designed to be meaningful and participation-based, allowing participants to integrate seamlessly with the local providers and businesses we partner with across our Illawarra & Kiama regions.
We proudly support our local community while ensuring that every experience serves as a vital vehicle for therapeutic growth.
By focusing on real-world integration and specific goal-directed activity, we ensure our programs are both clinically valuable and life-enhancing, helping participants translate their therapy goals into functional, everyday success.
Sense Therapies
Term 4, 2026 Groups
Sense Strength
Sense STRENGTH is an Occupational Therapy Group led by OTs Melika, Leonie & Tilly and personal trainers at NSPC Gym, Woonona. The focus is on providing support and guidance for kids to develop healthy habits, move their muscles, build strength and endurance and learn new skills in a safe, fun environment.
WHEN: Mondays 12th October – 14th December
TIME: 3:30PM-4:30PM 7-9yrs & 4:30-5:30PM 10yrs+
COST: $95pp per session
LOCATION: NSPC Gym, 355 Princes Hwy Woonona
Sense Surf
Start your day with us in our first ever morning surf group! Join therapists Josie, Carmel & Jesse on the sand and work with them to reach your therapy goals in the water. Grow your ocean confidence, practice water safety and build strength, coordination and fitness while connecting with peers in a fun, dynamic environment!
*Please note - Whilst our full OT team will be very hands on in the water, direct 1:1 support is not provided in this group*
We welcome parents, carers and support workers involvement if your child requires 1:1

Sense Bikes
Sense Bikes is a social, occupational therapy group for kids who can already ride and are looking to gain better bike control. Be supported by our OT's Cassie & Alex and build the confidence, coordination and independence, to get out there exploring our local community together on 2 wheels.
*Participants must have their own bike and helmet*
WHEN: Tuesdays 13th October – 15th December
TIME: 3:45PM-5:00PM
AGES: 7-14yrs (mixed age group)

Sense School Readiness
Join us for a fun, play-based School Readiness Group! With Speech-Language Pathologist Bronte and OT Morgan leading the way together, your child gets the benefit of two areas of expertise woven into one playful, connected experience. This group supports children in building the skills that help them feel confident and comfortable starting school. Through engaging group play, kids explore routines and transitions, turn-taking and cooperative play, following instructions, fine motor skills for early writing and self-care, self-regulation, and pre-literacy skills through book reading and storytelling — all in a small, supportive, low-demand environment. We take a strengths-based, neuro-affirming approach that values each child's individual communication style, sensory needs, and ways of engaging, so skills are built through genuine connection and play.

AGES: 4-6yrs (children starting kindergarten in 2027)

Sense Preschool
Join us for a fun session of play, movement, exploration, and belonging with other preschool-aged children and their families in our sensory gyms. Using a DIR Floortime approach, our OTs will support you and your child to engage in ways that feel meaningful, enjoyable, and aligned with their unique interests, strengths, and goals. Sessions are child-led and play-based, creating opportunities for connection, co-regulation, shared enjoyment, and relationship-building through play.

AGES: 3-5yrs

Sense Netball
Does your child need help to be part of a sports team?
Sense Netball is a fun, supportive, and structured group for girls and boys aged 7–12, designed to build confidence, connection, and enjoyment through movement and team sport. The program is run by OT's Alex and Shelby who are also high-performance netball players, bringing both clinical expertise and a love of the game.
The group builds:
- Sensory integration & modulation
- Bilateral integration & coordination
- Motor planning
- Social connection and teamwork
- Pathways into mainstream netball

Sense Rugby
Does your child need help to be part of a sports team?
Sense Team Sports is a footy-based Occupational Therapy program for boys and girls. Join our Woonona Team run by Sense Therapies Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants.
We use modified Rugby & AFL drills to help kids and teens:
- Process sensory information
- Focus on activities
- Work on their coordination
- Manage their emotions
- Have fun with friends!

September / October School Holiday Groups
Sense Trailblazers
We're teaming up with Darkes Forest Riding Ranch again for a morning of horsemanship and guided horse-riding. Specifically designed for our group, their instructors will share their love of horses and guide us through activities that explore grooming, caring for, and riding these beautiful animals. Through hands-on experiences with the horses, children will have opportunities to build confidence, emotional regulation, balance, postural control, body awareness and independence in a supportive and welcoming environment.
WHEN: Monday 28th September
TIME: 9-11AM 4-7yrs OR 12-2PM 8yrs+

Sense Teen Girls
A social Occupational Therapy group for tweens and young teens, combining movement, friendship and real-world community experiences.
Together, we'll be guided through an individualised reformer Pilates session by the team at Motion State, share lunch at a local café, and travel by train back to the clinic.
With support from our OTs, girls will have opportunities to:
- Connect and build friendships with other girls
- Strengthen social skills and confidence
- Develop body awareness and bilateral coordination
- Practise navigating community spaces and public transport
- Build independence through meaningful, everyday experiences
- Try something new in a supportive environment

Sense Beach & Surf
Spring has sprung and our regular holiday surf groups are back! Join us on the sand at our local beach and work with our therapists to reach your therapy goals in the water. Sense Build & Create
Create. Build. Problem-solve. Connect.
A fun, hands-on construction group for 6–10 year olds, led by experienced OTs. Child-led and interest-based, children are encouraged to follow their own ideas, work at their own pace and build in ways that feel right for them.
Using large and small-scale building materials, including LEGO, blocks, natural materials, cardboard and creative construction challenges, children will develop:
- Planning & problem-solving
- Fine motor & visual perception skills
- Motor planning & flexible thinking
- Communication & social connection
- Sensory regulation & persistence
- Confidence, creativity & self-expression
